East Haven Police Warn of 'Rash of Recent Daytime Burglaries'

The department reports the offender is believed to be from the area, and "appears know when homeowners are leaving their houses."

The following is a public service announcement posted via the East Haven Police Department's Facebook page.

There has been a rash of DAYTIME BURGLARIES in the area of Victor Street, Thompson Avenue, Kenneth Street, Osmond Street, Etc.

The offender, who we believe is from that area, appears to know when homeowners are leaving their houses.

Entry is usually gained through the rear of the house.

Stay alert and watch out for your neighbors if you are home during the day.
