East Haven Police: Tokyo Leisure Club Owner Arrested for Promoting Prostitution

Tokyo Leisure Club owner In Ok Smith was arrested by police for allegedly running a prostitution ring at her East Haven massage parlor.

The following is a press release from the East Haven Police Department.

On October 21, 2013, at about 9:15 a.m., members of the East Haven and North Haven Police Departments executed search and seizure warrants at the Tokyo Leisure Club located at 214b Main Street, East Haven, and 28 Duncan Street, East Haven. 

The warrants were the result of an ongoing joint investigation between the two departments related to the crime of prostitution allegedly occurring at the Tokyo Leisure Club.

These were the second set of search warrants executed at these locations since June of this year. 

Officers seized evidence related to the alleged crimes including approximately $1,500.00 cash and other miscellaneous items.

Additionally, the owner of the establishment, In Ok Smith (DOB 7-14-1965), was arrested on a warrant stemming from the previous investigation. 

Smith was charged with Promoting Prostitution in the Second Degree and was released on a $10,000.00 bond. 

Smith’s court date is October 30, 2013, at New Haven Superior Court.
