East Haven Police: Shots Fired Behind Barra’s Café
The initial investigation indicates a fight took place inside the Main Street cafe, with officers finding shell casings and blood in the rear parking lot area.

On December 28, 2013 at approximately 12:22 am, members of the East Haven Police Department responded to Barra’s Café located at 679 Main Street for a report of gun shots.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a physical altercation took place inside the establishment between two men and a second altercation followed in the rear parking lot.

Several shell casings were located in the rear lot along with a small amount of blood.
There were no victims or suspects located at the scene. Area hospitals were contacted with negative results.
