East Haven Police: Radio Shack 'Robbed at Gunpoint'

Police are searching for five suspects who reportedly forced at gunpoint Radio Shack employees to the back room of the store, before stealing merchandise from the Foxon Road shop late Tuesday evening.

The following is a press release from the East Haven Police Department.

At about 8:17 pm on February 5, 2013, the Radio Shack store located at 665 Foxon Road, East Haven, was robbed at gunpoint.

Approximately five suspects, believed to be four dark skinned males and one dark skinned female entered the store, at least one armed with a dark colored handgun.

The suspects were wearing dark colored clothing, masks, and gloves.

The suspects forced the employees to the back room at gunpoint, and stole merchandise including I-phones, televisions, and other items.

The exact value of the loss is unknown at this time, but is believed to be in the thousands of dollars.

It is believed that the suspects fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
