Richard Filapelli makes his first appearance of the new year on the Patch Police Blotter roll call. I'm pretty sure Filapelli took the prize in 2013 with most arrests in East Haven. Temporarily cooling his heels in the New Haven CC, Filapelli is confident that `Big Steve` will come through with the bond money so `Scrapper` Filapelli can resume working on liberating all copper piping from the numerous vacant properties in and around East Haven.

Thanks Bob. These events would be so much more interesting to read if some of the color were included. In fact it could be the highlight of the Patch. Thanks for filling in some details on this arrest.

My pleasure Flowers. Remember that front page photo in the Register after Hurricane Sandy, with Filapelli standing on the roof of a collapsed Short Beach house? He told the reporter he was looking for his dog. Who doesn't love a dog right? The boob reporter didn't put 2 and 2 together, that being Filapelli's pickup truck sitting there, brimming over with a half a ton of copper.

Another poster boy of a failure of a judicial system.
