East Haven Firefighters Stop Liquid Propane Fuel Leak

East Haven firefighters spent more than two hours mitigating a liquid fuel leak along Pennsylvania Avenue early Tuesday evening.

Members of the East Haven Fire Department were called to contain and control a propane leak along Pennsylvania Avenue, near the side street's intersection with Hemingway Avenue, early Tuesday evening.

The call first came into the department just after 5 p.m.

Firefighters were then on the scene for more than two hours mitigating the liquid fuel, according to the East Haven firefighters union's Facebook page

There were no reported injuries related to the fuel leak itself or the firefighters' hazmat operation to contain and clean up the liquid.
