East Haven Cops Capture Fleeing BMW Out of Hamden

Officers Spaulding, Sorbo, Finnimore, DeCrosta apprehend two Hamden men after a high-risk pursuit and find a loaded Glock 9mm; Mannion praised the officers for their "professional conduct."

When a Jeep Cherokee and a BMW chased each other from Hamden to Route 80 in East Haven late Wednesday night, State Police notified East Haven cops. It was reported the men had a dispute at a restaurant and a gun had been displayed, according to Deputy Police Chief John Mannion.

As the cars reached North High Street, Officers Dennis Spaulding, Michael Sorbo and John Finnimore along with Detective Benjamin DeCrosta went for the pursuit. The driver of the Jeep pulled over when he saw the cops but the BMW sped away.

Mannion reported that his four officers "conducted a high risk motor vehicle felony stop and the BMW was stopped, without incident, near Grannis Street."
