East Haven Arrests: Sexual Assault, Promoting Prostitution, Harassment

The following arrest information was supplied to Patch by the East Haven Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Edwin Melendez, 47, of Chapel Street in New Haven, was charged Oct. 22 with illegal sexual contact and first-degree sexual assault. A bond amount of $50,000 was set and he was scheduled to appear in court the same day. Arresting officer: Edmun Vecellio.

Angelo James Appi, 41, of Cricket Court in East Haven, was charged Oct. 22 with second-degree breach of peace. A bond amount of $5,000 was set and he was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 30. Arresting officer: Edmund Vecellio

Dominic A. Pagnano, 41, of Pond Street in East Haven, was charged Oct. 22 with simple trespass and sixth-degree larceny. No bond amount was set and he was scheduled to appear in court the same day. Arresting officer: Justin Brochu.

Robert Joseph Laccone, 30, of West Lake Avenue in Guilford, was charged Oct. 21 with second-degree harassment. A bond amount of $2,500 was set and he was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 22. Arresting officer: Alfred Maio.

Thomas Joseph Clementi, 36, of Dodge Avenue in East Haven, was charged Oct. 21 with criminal violation of a protective order. A bond amount of $20,000 was set and he was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 23. Arresting officer: Craig Michalowski.

In Ok Smith, 48, of Duncan Street in East Haven, was charged Oct. 21 with second-degree promoting prostitution. A bond amount of $10,000 was set and she was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 30.  Arresting officer: Joseph Mulhern.

Brian Ruiz, 35, of Old Foxon Road in East Haven, was charged Oct. 20 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. A bond amount of $5,000 was set and he was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 21. Arresting officer: Craig Michalowski.

Anna Marie Texeira, 43, of Springdale Avenue in Meriden, was charged Oct. 20 with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree stalking, second-degree harassment and second-degree threatening. A bond amount of $25,000 was set and she was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 22. Arresting officer: Shirley Conyers.

Brenda Ruiz, 38, of Old Foxon Road in East Haven, was charged Oct. 20 with disorderly conduct. No bond amount was set and she was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 21. Arresting officer: Craig Michalowski.

Edward J. Pellegrino, 30, of Birch Lane in East Haven, was charged Oct. 19 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. A bond amount of $500 was set and he was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 21. Arresting officer: Mark Fitzgerald. 

Richard Anthony Fillpelli, 54, of Baymont Hotel in Branford, was charged Oct. 19 with first-degree criminal trespass, first-degree criminal mischief and third-degree larceny. A bond amount of $1,500 was set and he was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 30. Arresting officer: Franshesca Ojeda.
