What about the arrest that happened in the 240 range of Tyler St in the early morning hours of Saturday September 29? Would the police department release information about this if I asked?? We saw it happen and are concerned about what goes on in our neighborhood.

I would say yes to a request for a report. If an arrest was made the name(s) maybe blacked out. If you made a phone call reporting the incident were you interviewed?
It's been sometime for me, but that was the way it was done back then. Good question to ask the chief's office. May also depend on the type of incident. Is it still under investigation, etc.. Doesn't hurt to ask. Two things you can be told. Yes or No.

Thanks Richard. We did not have to call to report the incident, the arrest/search was already taking place at our neighbor's house when we got home. We watched the police/fire dept break down the door, and then finally saw them bring the suspect out in handcuffs. We think we know what he was arrested for but just wanted to find out for sure if we could.

Simple. www.jud.ct/gov Will open a page, upper left side, click to "case look-up"
will do a spread showing options, click "criminal / MV" Find along the bottem the place that says " pending cases by defendent. Click that. Put in last name, first initial, don't need the rest, but for court location click to New haven GA 23. That will show any outstanding cases for that person by matching date and will also show charges and date of arrest to match what you have in mind.

Unfortunately, going onto the state of CT judicial website will not help me, as I do not know the neighbor's name!

sar919: I do post all arrests that are included on the weekly arrest report from the EHPD. But I agree with Richard, I'd check in with the department. I'm sure they can pass along as much information as they are allowed to release on an arrest. The incident logs are public record. So, you should be able to review those to find the incident that happened on that date, at that location and time. There will be a record of that, whether there was an arrest yet or not. Just an FYI.

If you are really interested that can be solved as wel. www.equalitycama.com
click "town info" Then East Haven. Just type in street name you are interested in, then search. Will open every address and ownership on that street. Pick an address. On a second note though, you mentioned the FD being there. Very strange to have FD involved in a criminal type incident. If this was a mental/medical issue call, person taken out in cuffs are for safety, and person may have gone to E/R for medical reasons and evaluation and no arrest was made. Good luck.

He WAS taken away in an ambulance, so what you said is a good possibility, although we did hear the police say that they found him hiding in a closet. We (as well as other neighbors) are well aware of suspicious activity going on there though, that is why we thought he may have been arrested.
Thanks again for your help Richard!

I'm disappointed with the new format. Doesn't seem to be very user friendly.

Gov. O'mally is ruining this State by driving more and more people into poverty, giving illegalsRead More drivers licenses, letting criminals out of jail early, pushing good companies out, and making it's citizens unsafe. Time to clean house starting locally!

WE THE PEOPLE have no say in how governments govern nor how OUR money is spent. WE supposedly electRead More people who take the trust of the people with them when elected and do the will of WE THE PEOPLE. This has never happened. Especially in state and federal office. Once in office the power they discover they now have pushes aside the will of the people. It an attitude of we have the power and you don't. Someday, but I doubt it, we can elect those who will not loose site of why they were elected.
