MILFORD – The sound of a scuffle between and man and a woman, heard by police on an anonymous phone call at 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, led officers on a search of local hotels to find out where the trouble was taking place.

The source of the disturbance was identified when police arrived at Quality Inn and found that Brian Gittings, 23, of Shelton, had gotten into a fight with a female companion. Gittings would not let the woman leave the hotel room, police said.
