Chief of Police Sworn In

Chief Larrabee was the interim chief in East Haven since 2012; prior to that, he served as the chief of police for the cities of Stamford, CT; Westwood, MA; and Framingham, MA.

Brent Larrabee was sworn in to office as the Chief of Police of the Town of East Haven on June 26.

Mayor Joseph Maturo, Jr. performed the honors in front of an audience that included a state senator and representative, police chaplains, members of the town council, deputy police chief, fire marshal, U.S. marshal, and more.

"It is a pleasure to be here this morning to update you on the extraordinary progress the Town has made in complying with the Department of Justice settlement agreement and to swear in Brent Larrabee as permanent Chief of Police," said the Mayor.

At a critical moment in the town's history, Maturo said he "sought out and hired veteran interim Police Chief Brent Larrabee to help restore stability and faith in our department – and he has not let us down."
