School Bus Driver Delivers Kids to Cops
When four Bridgeport teens reportedly got rowdy on the bus ride home, the driver took them to Stratford police station and they were charged with disorderly conduct.

Police said the teens were throwing paper balls in the bus and disobeyed orders to stop. That’s when the driver exited the parkway, asked a patrol officer for directions to police headquarters, and dropped them off at the station.

It was unknown why the Bridgeport teens were on a Stratford school bus, officials told Stratford Patch.
 
Burglary Allegedly a Family Affair
A father and his two sons were arrested this week on charges that they broke into and burglarized a Woodbridge house while the owner was home.

The owner hid during the alleged burglary and was not injured, police said. Credit cards and other items were taken, though. Fraudulent charges on those cards were what ultimately led police to the suspects, police said.

The 47-year-old father and his sons were arrested in Florida, where they fled following the burglary, police told Bethwood Patch.
 
Sci-Fi Author Charged with Risk of Injury to Minor
A Brooklyn man who is suspected of child molestation in Georgia was arrested at a Milford hotel Tuesday on a charge of risk of injury to a minor.

Police said the 50-year-old was with a 14-year-old in the Super 8 Motel, reportedly watching the child for parents. A condition of the man’s release prohibits him from unsupervised visits with children, according to police.

The suspect is a renowned science fiction author, Milford Patch reports.

A man’s argument with his wife was reportedly enough to make him jump off a pier into New Haven harbor. He was uninjured and taken for psychiatric evaluation, the New Haven Register reports.

At an adult soccer game in Wilton, a 40-year-old Stamford man became so angered by a red card that the ref pulled on one of his teammates that the man allegedly snuck up behind the ref and . The ref, a 50-year-old man, was transported to the hospital.

A private eye was charged with disorderly conduct recently after he allegedly — in order to track her whereabouts. Police said the investigator used duct tape to fasten a box containing the phone and a battery to the bottom of her car. The detective was working on behalf of the woman's former husband.
