Bomb Threat Unfounded

Police search a Center Street home after getting a call from the occupant that she received a bomb threat.

A  Center Street woman called police Wednesday at 10 a.m. saying someone left a phone message for her saying there was a bomb in her house, according to Deputy Police Chief John Mannion. East Haven police were dispatched to her home and with the aid of the New Haven Police Department's bomb squad searched the premises and grounds. No bomb was found. They finished their search at 12:20 p.m.

"This is possibly related to an ongoing domestic violence dispute," Mannion wrote in his release.

The investigation is ongoing.
