Blotter: Would-Be Gun Suspects Arrested

Arrests from Aug. 11-13.

The following arrest information was provided by the East Haven Police Department.It does not indicate convictions.

Three New Haven men were arrested for trying to steal firearms and interfering with an officer on Aug. 13. Nicholas Comstock, 22, Brian Garofalo, 29 and Luis River, 24, were each charged with two counts of conspiracy to steal a firearm, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and interfering with an office.

Comstock was also charged with first-degree failure to appear in court and violation of probation. His bail was set at $115,000, while bail for Rivera and Garofalo was set at $50,000. They were all scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in New Haven on Aug. 15.

Other Arrests

Megan McKay, 25, and Joseph Streeter, 33, both of Silver Sands Road in East Haven, was arrested on Aug. 13 on charges of disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $500 each and they’re both scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in New Haven on Aug. 15.

Kenneth Karrman, 45, of Branford, was arrested on Aug. 13 on a charge of second-degree failure to appear. Bail was set at $1,000 and he’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 24.

Terrill, Philips, 32, of New Haven, was arrested on Aug. 12 on charges of second-degree breach of peach and third-degree assault. His bail was set at $1,000 and he’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 24.

Michele, 43, and Nicola Difoscia, 50, of Foxon Boulevard in East Haven, were arrested on charges of second-degree breach of peace on Aug. 12. Bail was set at $1,000 each and they were both scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 15.

Robert Geremia, 63, of Main Street in East Haven, was arrested on Aug. 12 on a charge of committing a sixth-degree larceny on Hemingway Avenue. His bail was set at $1,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17.

Robert Farrell, 33, of New Haven, was arrested on Aug. 11 on a charge of criminal violation of a protective order. The incident reportedly happened on North High Street. Bail was set at $1,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court that day.

Edgar Claudio, 20, of George Street in East Haven, was arrested on Aug. 10 on a charge of second-degree breach of peace. His bail was set at $1,500 and he was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17.
