Seeking the Nomination...

Patrick Madley Jr is Seeking the Nomination for Board of Education

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and happy new year.

It is no secret that I am very much into education and want to help provide the best education to students in any way that I can. For that reason, I am seeking the Democratic Nomination to run in November for the East Haven Board of Education.

For months I was undecided and eventually I decided not to run. The past few months have been crucial in my decision to reconsider running. I saw many things happen in the country that affects schools and education and I believe this is the right time for me to try my best to help out.

In the coming days/weeks you will see a series of posts of why I believe I am a qualified candidate for the Board of Education. This post is to just let everyone know I am actively seeking the nomination.

Please, I encourage everyone to leave comments and questions, especially critical ones, for me to answer. I want to prove to the people of this town I am seeking the nomination for the right reason, the students. Thank you and do not forget to comment!

Patrick, I for one wish you the best in your quest. I just hope, if you do get a seat on the B of E, you will deal with the issue on there merits and not as a (D) or (R). This is what the children really need.
uestion though,

Good luck Patrick...Fresh new face that's always good to see!
Patrick Madley January 6, 2013 at 05:10 pm
Thank you both! I can assure you, that if nominated and voted on the BOE, I will be an independent thinker and vote the way that is right. I know what the students need since I was one recently.
Question,..Now that my good friend has declared himself to be seeking the nomination will he also be"Vetted" and will Mr Depalma who has declared himself a candidate for Mayor also be "Vetted" as I was Or is the vetting process simply done out of political motivation?
Anyone feel free to answer? For the Record I fully support Patrick in this endeavour as he is an intelligent young man who is well versed in Board Of Education Issues and I feel the Board Of Education would be well served by having someone of his caliber on it.

Well we certainly wouldn't let you do the vetting process we see how you screwed up McCann's already...Hoff just go away. Your 3rd District Council Seat bid is over. Get some counciling, therapy and a job.
Hoff Exposed January 6, 2013 at 06:43 pm
Um...Mr. Hoff....Can you explain the Small Claims judgements of $9K against you since 2007? Mr. Hoff are you a deadbeat?

Advice for Patrick....Lesson one in Politics...A pariah...Definition.....
"one that is despised or rejected : outcast...." used in a sentence...."Mr. Robert Hoff's actions on the East Haven Patch have caused him to be a PARIAH. Therefore it is best for your candidacy to stay far way from him and any association with him." If Patrick stays away he's passes several vetting tests....
Yes I have explained this elsewhere.

Thank you for the support and kind words! But please, let's not attack Robert. This article about me and my candidacy do please keep it focused on me... Even if its a negative comment! :)

Patrick, I would suggest you make a priority list of issues/concerns you hope to address as a member of the Board of Education. Tell the people now (here on the Patch, in the New Haven Register, in the New Haven Independent, on Facebook, etc) what these issues/concerns are and how you hope to enact positive change as a member of the Board of Education. Hammer home these issues now and don't let up; you stand as good a chance as anybody in getting elected to represent the good people of East Haven. Be prepared for slime attacks upon your character by those who wish to maintain the status quo. I wish you all the best in 2013 and beyond... JA

This young man has "vetted" himself on the Patch. Never resorting to the attack tactics you so often use. He also knows how to spell and use punctuation, unlike yourself who often rants with the grammar of a nine year old.
Patrick garners respect, because he shows respect, you solicit exactly the opposite. GET IT? Good, now get lost.

I had family visit from out of town to attend a Little League game down by the beach. They justRead More loved the entire area, especially the splash pad and the Sandpiper. It made me stop, look around and appreciate how fortunate we are in East Haven to have such a great place for so many activities.

I'm disappointed with the new format. Doesn't seem to be very user friendly.

It's probably the same punks who broke into our cars over on Mansfield Grove AGAIN.... the policeRead More think its a bunch of teenagers because they take little things that are not of much value in any cars that arent locked..and are also doing things like slashing tires, etc all over town. They got into my car the same night! Hope you find your scooter

Gov. O'mally is ruining this State by driving more and more people into poverty, giving illegalsRead More drivers licenses, letting criminals out of jail early, pushing good companies out, and making it's citizens unsafe. Time to clean house starting locally!

WE THE PEOPLE have no say in how governments govern nor how OUR money is spent. WE supposedly electRead More people who take the trust of the people with them when elected and do the will of WE THE PEOPLE. This has never happened. Especially in state and federal office. Once in office the power they discover they now have pushes aside the will of the people. It an attitude of we have the power and you don't. Someday, but I doubt it, we can elect those who will not loose site of why they were elected.
