Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket and Mohegan Sun Resort Casino in Uncasville both saw huge declines in revenue in February, the Hartford Courant reported.
Together slot revenues slipped 20.5 percent, the worst month since December 2007 when they collectively dropped 18 percent, according to the Courant.
And while casino officials blamed February's brutal winter weather and the fact it only has 28 days, the two gambling venues also had bad Januarys.
The Courant reported last month that "Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket brought in $40.7 million through slot machines, down more than 12 percent from the same month last year ... Mohegan Sun in Uncasville brought in $47.1 million through slot machines, down more than 11 percent from the same month last year. "
