Time to Learn

The in-fighting is over.  The primary showed that the majoarity of democrats wanted Stacey to run for the Mayors seat come November.  What we have here is the greatest system in the world in picking people we entrust to lead us hopefully to a better way.  Both sides on the political spectrum have their own ideologies and no doubt both have what they consider the best interest for the town, it's citizens and the future in their hearts.

We have fifty some odd days before this choice is made.  In this time period I wish all voters would educate themselves on the real issues affecting this town.  Make your choice by seeing thru the political wish full thinking of what one say's will be done and look at the reality in what can be done.  Take a good look at the campaign platforms and determine on yur own what is actually feasible and what is plain hog wash.  Look at your tax bill.  Did they go up or down. Seventy percent of property owners saw a tax drop.  Has the budget been re-balanced? Yes.  There will be those who will say no, its a play with numbers. Well, go ask that question.  Hopefully both candidates will get together and have these questions asked.

The voters in East Haven know what the problems are, what can actually be fixed or made better and what actually effects them and what is just political hype.  They are not stupid.  I just hope come November when that little circle is filled in it is done with thought and insight and who can make East Haven a better place.  As for me, I look at one thing.  My Tax bill.
