Starting Already

It's not even spring time yet and there are reports coming out of Fair Haven of ATV's and Dirt bikes flying around that section of NH.  We can expect this to start happening here as well once the weather starts warming up.

Before people start complaining here on the Patch why doesn't the PD do something just  think about that for a second.  They will not engage in a chase and that is good, far to dangerous for all.  You can't expect a patrol car to be sitting on every street either.

So,what can we do? If you know who these people are that are driving around town scaring everyone, provide that information to the PD.  Your name is not required to be given.  If you see operators hanging around a certain address call the PD and provide that information.  You are not being a "rat" or a "snitch", but you just may save a friend or relative from injury or worse caused by these idiots.

Remember, getting caught is  now very costly.  Fines can get to $1,000, plus the machine is impounded and held until court determines what is to be done with them.  Best part is the "owners" must provide proof of ownership if they want them back.  Good luck with that.

We must help the PD, they can't do it by themselves. Whatever information we can provide just may help get some of these machines of our streets.  Best way to get what you know to the PD is by mail to the chief and a copy to the mayor, for you just know his phone will be ringing.
