Questioning the BOE decisions !!

I read Patch everyday but never have posted or replied...until now.

Recently my child's 1st grade teacher was moved to Kindergarten due to high kindergarten numbers. So instead of hiring a new K teacher all her 1st grade kids were sent to other 1st grades and students were removed from Kindergarden classes to fill the new K room. Ok so it's done. Then I watched the BOE meeting on TV to see if any other parents were upset with this move. There was only one speaker who spoke about issues in the High School but did mention that the Superintendent was having a wall put up in her office as well as a private bathroom. So lets see.....Kindergarten teacher-- new bathroom?

But I continued to watch the meeting and during her ratification of appointments she was struggling with last names. She then proceeds to comment "I will be speaking Italian by the end of the year. That is my goal" I had to rewind that part just to be sure I heard that correctly. Can we say labeling or profiling? So needless to say I was very upset so I googled her and was not happy with what I read about her history. See for yourself. Was ANY homework done by the BOE for this hire?
