Police Commission Meetings Moved Back to East Haven PD

At the last board of Police Commissioners Meeting it was decided that the meeting would no longer be held at the East Haven Senior Center but put back at the Police Department. If anyone remembers the meetings were held in a small room with buzzed in access to the meetings. "Hardly" open to the public. One has to wonder why the Police Chief wanted the meetings moved back.

The point of having the meetings at the East Haven Senior Center was to have the meetings open to the public and that no one would have to feel "restricted" to a small conference room or to be buzzed in.

Having meetings at this location is another throw back to the glory days of the Maturo Administration where the public was restricted access.

We need to keep all meetings in true public places where the public is free to come and go without being recorded or monitored, in some cases under intimidation.

Here are the minutes from the meeting on 11-26-2013

If you read the comment section below there is an update and response by the Chief on his decision.
