President Barack Obama and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney are in a dead heat in the latest ABC/Washington post poll.
According to the poll, with just four months until the election, 47 percent said they prefer Obama and 47 percent said they prefer Romney.
Meanwhile, Ronney is actually faring better in certain areas compared to Obama. The poll notes that registered voters trust Romney over Obama in handling the economy, 44-49 percent.
Meanwhile, 47 percent approve of the job Obama is doing now versus 49 percent who disapprove.
But, as ABC asks, why is the race still tied if Romney is pulling ahead in these economy polls?
When voters were polled “which candidate is more friendly and likeable,” 63 percent said Obama and 27 percent said Romney.
“It seems many voters just don’t like Mitt Romney,” the network said.
