Can I ask why when I decided to move to this town there are NUMEROUS lawsuits regarding the police force popping up left and right.
Can I ask WHY when these officers retire they are then considered scott free and still able to collect a pension? Shouldn't that "pension" be used to pay towards the lawsuit payout as our tax dollars would?
Recently hit with a 12 MILLION dollar law suit, the tax payer's may be footing the bill? I'm sorry but I decided my house is hitting the market and I'm getting out before this town is just completely assimilated to New Haven with dirty awful streets, high taxes, and crime up the wazoo..... yup I said "wazoo"

After this everyone is going to start suing the EH PD just because they know they can and will get a quick settlement.

The ENTIRE PD force needs to be purged out, re staffed, and the ones who caused these burdens need to be stripped of pension (even the ones who already retired, sue them) and have that be used to pay the suits.

I'm sorry, I will be the first to say my grammar and tone in this post is not as eloquent as I might have liked but really I am just INFURIATED at the situation this town is spiraling into. I will be lucky to make back ANY of the money spent fixing up this house after news like this continues to permeate throughout CT. East Haven will simply be known as the high tax Guido town no one wants to move to.
