Enough is Enough

For far too long Robert D. Hoff has used this media as a forum to put down either Mayor Maturo, people in his adminsitration and those associated with or friends of these people. He has in not so many words accused others of committing various unscrupulous acts for persoanl benefit.  When it comes to some of his articles and comments some were blatanly obvious that he was writing at the direction of others and has changed his screen name.  A true political puppet.

A few years back during a political campaign, time after time he accused a sitting State Senator and the law firm where he is a partner, that they did that awful thing as to make money.  How dare this law firm go out and do that. Yes, the firm was hired to represent a private corporation in dealing with land developement that was not wanted by neighbors.  The fact is this company had every right to get legal help in this quest.  But Hoff demanded on more then one occasion in various Patch articles, wanting to know how much money the firm made. This by the way was none of his business, but he was attempting to cause problem during the up-coming election.  Finally, Hoff was confronted by the Senator at a public gathering and in private Hoff was asked what his problem was.  Hoff ran off to write a Patch article how he felt threatened and intimidated because the Senator was bigger then him.  WOW, a Patch article all about his fears.

After a major snow storm he jumps on the Patch and writes an article with pictures of a section of RT-80 and an un-named street.  The article was aimed at the administration and the PW in not clearing the sidewalks and curb cuts so the disabled can cross.  Guess what?  That intersection has no sidewalks and thus no curb cuts. But he made an attempt to put down the administration anyway.  FYI Hoff, RT-80 is a state road.

Then we had the article were he calls out the public works supervisor for the failure to meet with him on a week-end to discuss the condition of the park down his street.  A week-end mind you.  That supervisor never showed and Hoff jumps back to the Patch to write about it.  I would had told him to go pound sand and meet on Monday.

The topping of the cake was the attack on a women posting comments in a Patch article.  He didn't agree with her on points and began making sexually vial comments to her. Has he yet to contact her and appologize to her? Most likely not.  He was extremely lucky no male members of her family went looking for him.  I would have.

We don't know what drives this man or what his true problems are.  One thing is for sure, if we ignore him he may just go away, but I doubt it.  But it's worth a try.  If he does post something directly at someone then that person should do whatever is needed.

To the people of this third District about to vote for members to the DTC, if you feel this is the man you want to represent you then by all means vote for him.

I am sure he will comment on this article and give his opinion as to what is written.  Just as I am sure he will dig up something I wrote and do a little creative writing taking everything out of context.  This is what he does.
