East Haven PD's John Mannion Gone?

There are many rumors hitting the street today that Deputy Chief John Mannion has cleaned out his desk today. 

Can anyone confirm these rumors? 

Could it be that Mannion has overstayed his welcome? 

Could it be that Mr. Mannion close knit relationship with soon to be departed Democratic Town Chairman Gene Ruocco has caused some issues to surface?
