It's over. The dance is done. The East Haven Community would rather have a guy who couldn't be elected dog catcher in another town as Mayor than Jack Stacey. Guess What? It's not Jack's fault. Yeah, I know you saw this coming from a mile away...Gene owns this one.
The finger pointing will commence ASAP!!! Get Ready for it. Just like when April lost, it was everyone else's fault. Gene wouldn't acknowledge the rift he and his old school clan helped create, then let fester.
You need to put the finger away Gene because you didn't campaign. This was the only town election held in a library. You fought during the primary because it was personal. You disliked DePalma so much, you would have done anything to take him down. From the ridiculous IA to the pulling of his (clean) records, to complaining who was on his team, to the attack on his petitions. All of which drove a deeper and deeper wedge with the Dems.

Yet you did nothing at all towards Joe? Why? Got any Answers? Anyone?

You talk often about what a great job you’ve done as the DTC Chairman. 2 for 13!! You won 2 elections out of 13! I’ll give you credit, if at first you don’t succeed…try 11 more times!

There are many in the party that gambled on Jack winning so they stuck their neck out in support. What happens now? Albis, was it smart to listen to Roucco and come out early? Feel good about getting unified support of your next run for office? Rumors are churning about a couple people looking to take your seat. Lemar, you’re insignificant for the most part. Do you think everyone on that DTC will have your back now, like last time?

Gene it’s time, step down without making a ton of noise. Because when you should have been rattling the cage for Jack you did zip, zero, zilch.  Don’t try to get the last word, don’t try to save face and don’t blame anyone. You couldn’t beat the most vulnerable politician East Haven has ever seen. Then again, maybe you didn’t want to.
