Community Update

First of all, let me introduce myself, I'm
an honest, hardworking, and smart person. I don't use my pretty face to get
something or escalate positions. Everything I have and what I am today is
because of my own efforts. I'm a fair person and I'm not corrupted. I would
like to put my skills and knowledge into use for the community of E.H and to
work for all the citizens, exclusively for the elderly and children. I don't
judge people because of their race, color or how they look or where they come
from.

 As a professional, I had and still have the
pleasure of working with people of different races and cultures. In my opinion
E.H is one community regardless of races and we all have to work together for a
better town, to clean the image of our hometown. I know this is a big challenge
for me because I'm latina but I'm also an American citizen.

 I love my country (USA) that has opened many
and many doors and opportunities for me and a lot of people out there. This
country is made out of Immigrants, I am a strong woman, all my life has been
through challenges and the more challenge I get, the more stronger I become.

 My fight is not with any republicans,
democrats or independents out there, my job is to work for a better E.H. I like
to be proactive and not over-reactive.

Shame on you Gary, for being such a bad, dirty politician, lying
to people to get more points, is this how you handle things? Up until this day
I don't know what is your vision for this town, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, because all you do is put your
head down in the meetings, you are so desperate to win, that you want to get
people's attention using my name and trying to mess my reputation I'll tell you
what, the people who know me well know that I am not a racist person, you took
my fb out of context at your own convenience, but I got nothing to hide that’s
why the status is public so everybody can see it, posting one paragraph instead
of the whole post to use it against myself will not make you a winner for the
mayor position.

You are mad at me because I don’t
give you my support, I support Jack Stacey not because of Gene Ruocco, is
because in my personal opinion, he is the best candidate out of all three,  he has a better vision for this town and I
know the potential  that  he has to offer to all the citizens of East
Haven.

Does anyone know what this guy wants
for East Haven? All I heard saying in a meeting was “Hi all, my name is Gary
DePalma, I’m running for mayor and all you, know me already”. So do you think
that any smart person out there is going to give you their vote just by saying
that? First of all I don’t care what your name is, what I want to hear is what
you have to offer to the citizens of East Haven, what are you bringing to the
table to make this town a better town.

Let me tell you something, writing a
whole bunch of lies to the new haven register and patch, will not make a
difference, you lost already, 44 votes for Jack against 14 for you, didn’t you
get the message?, the Democratic party already endorsed Jack.

  To officially announce my candidacy for Town Council in East Haven for
the 3rd District, for the first time in the history of east haven a Hispanic is
competing for this position, since all positions has been always occupied by
caucasians, where there is racism and inequality of races, it is time to make
changes and improve our community, if I am elected to this committee I will
work hard to achieve a better system, equality for all citizens of this
community regardless of races and cultures, I will defend and watch over the best
interest of our citizens no matter who they are or where they come from,
because we are all equal regardless of our culture, race, religion. This is why
I ask the support of all Latinos out there because only together we can make
the necessary changes, if anyone has any suggestions or wants to help me in my
campaign please feel free to contact me.

This is the
translation in english from the spanish version, I don’t see any racist comment
here on this post, everything I wrote is true, and for those people who
criticized me, please do your homework first, research before judging a person especially
when you don’t know the person, it’s so sad to see people that follows a
knucklehead, that can’t even think for himself, has to do what other people tell
him to do.

Let me give you
free advice, before you assume: learn, before you judge: understand, before you
hurt: feel, before you say: think, change your strategy!!!! You’re digging your
own hole with you in it.

And for the
people who are making such a bad comments, I just want to say that I respect
their opinions, not everyone is going to like everybody and I am not the
exception, but there is one thing that I know of, I am a winner already because
I have a job that I love which is helping people regardless of their race, I
have a wonderful family and I had the pleasure to get to know more good people.

I didn’t write
this message to argue with anyone, I did it because I feel that I needed to
clarify all these lies that is coming from this guy or anyone else out there, and
when it comes to my friends on facebook, they are free to choose who they want
to be friends with not me.
