Snow Surprise for the Shoreline!

East Haven checking in with 3"-4" after a surprise snow event. Today's forecast also evaluated by Nick.

Last night local news were calling for an inch possible near the MA line. That was true. But not the snowfall in Southern and Central CT that reached 5"-6" in places like Wolcott, Prospect, Southington and Waterbury.

The numbers were even impressive down to the beaches, specifically the New Haven Area. The Morris Cove side of New Haven came out with 4", Momauguin Beach measured in at 3.5" and Foxon came in at 3".

Temperatures are around 33º-34º now, and I do not expect the to rise as much as the meterologist on TV think. I expect highs to be in the upper 30's and low 40's. Lows are supposed to come close to freezing again tonight and more precipitation.

It is thought to be rain, but I am starting to question that there may be a little more snow.
