EAST HAVEN's NEWEST SOCIAL CLUB, THE EAST HAVEN SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF ITALY

According to last year's census report, EAST HAVEN, CT has the most Italians in the state of CT, Well now is the time to use this information and build off of it, Having an East Haven chapter of the Sons & Daughters of Italy will allow us to have plenty of fun, family related events that will support the Italian / American heritage & culture.

It doesn't matter what your nationality is or what town you live in, If you or someone you know would like to be part of EAST HAVEN's newest social club, Please email Marty at thepaisanfrompsl@yahoo.com with your name & phone number & we will be calling you to attend our first meeting in September, which the Connecticut state president & the national president of the Sons of Italy in America will be attending.

OSIA (Order of Sons of Italy in America) is for people of any gender, age, religion and profession. You don't even have to be Italian to join, Whether you are of Italian heritage or simply have a love for things Italian, OSIA welcomes you as a member. www.osia.org

We are also asking that everyone who is interested, Please join our Facebook group, EAST HAVEN SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF ITALY

Sam Giglio is the president of The Sons and Daughters of Italy Lodge that covers New Haven, East Haven, Branford and North Haven. Sam lives in East Haven and so do many of his Lodge Members, which leads me to ask why you didn't join up with the lodge that already exists in this area?

Hey Gene, After I spoke to Michael Polo, the State president, He told me there were chapters in New Haven, North Haven & West Haven, I asked if it would be a problem to start an East Haven chapter, I told him that I didn't want to step on anybodys toes, Michael told me it wouldn't be a problem at all. From the feedback that I've been getting, people wonder why a chapter was never started in East Haven, They love the idea and can't wait for it to begin. If someone lives in Milford, why would they go to New Haven when they can go to West Haven ? It shouldn't matter how many chapters, or where the members go, just as long as they go and are happy to be part of OSIA, If you or anyone else would like to attend our first meeting, please email me, thepaisanfrompsl@yahoo.com ~ Thanks Gene.

Thanks for the respond, I wish you luck with your chapter, but we really enjoy the chapter that Sam runs. Maybe someday the two chapters will come together, after all it's all about continuing the old traditions that our grandparents brought here from Italy when they left it to be part of the great dream we call AMERICA.
