Great cats for adoption at the East Haven Animal Shelter!

Cats looking for new homes at the East Haven Animal Shelter!

Hi Everyone - let me introduce myself first.  I've been volunteering at the East Haven Animal Shelter for approximately 15 years.  We have a great shelter with two fantastic and dedicated Animal Control Officers - Owen Little and Kristina Ruszczyk - and another great volunteer, Kathi, who is so dedicated to all our animals. Our shelter is something that everyone in our town can be proud of.

All of our cats are spayed/neutered, receive their shots, and are tested for FeLV/FIV before they go to their new homes, and while they are with us they receive a lot of loving care and attention!

We have 3 wonderful adult cats right now that are all looking for homes:

Henry - A nice big orange tabby, he came to the shelter with a bad wound on one of his back legs that required surgery.  He is doing great now and would love a new home.  Henry loves attention and he has a big gorgeous face that you just can't resist!

Nathan - Poor Nathan, he's been with us for a while now and we would love to see him get a home soon.  He was so scared when he first came into the shelter that he just hid under his blanket, which probably didn't help his adoption chances since no one ever saw him!  He is now Mr Social, loves attention and seeks you out for some petting time.  We adore him and hope his special person is out there just ready to come and adopt him!

Ophelia - This kitty makes me laugh whenever I see her, with the black fur on top of her head she looks like she is wearing the world's worst toupee, but let me assure you, that is her real hair!  This poor girl came in limping, so we had her checked out at the vet office and it turns out she had some fractures in her foot, so she is now bandaged up and healing well.  Ophelia is a sweet quiet girl, and would love to be someone's companion.

All of these great cats are currently available - we do ask anyone interested to fill out an adoption application, you can email the shelter at Tashmoo5454@comcast.net for an application or if you need more info, or you can also call us at 203-468-3249.  We are located at 183 Commerce Street, in the East Haven Industrial Park.

Thank you!
