Albis Backed by Realtors Political Action Committee

Rep. James Albis (D-East Haven) has received the support of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) in his bid for re-election to the office of State Representative of the 99th District.

Rep. James Albis (D-East Haven) has received the support of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) in his bid for re-election to the office of State Representative of the 99th District.

RPAC is a voluntary, non-partisan committee of the Connecticut Association of REALTORS® that promotes homeownership and the right to freely transfer, own, and use real property of all types. It strives to encourage REALTORS® to take a more active part in the political process and to fulfill their civic responsibilities.

“I am honored to have received the endorsement of RPAC,” said Albis, who is vying for his second term as State Representative. “Realtors are a vital, knowledgeable component of the housing market. I have made sure that they are at the table during discussions of important issues, like shoreline matters and condominium laws, representing the best interests of homeowners.”

RPAC provides support to chosen candidates of all occupations, not just real estate practitioners. RPAC communicates the endorsement to members of the Connecticut Association of REALTORS®, urging them to support the endorsed candidate.

The Committee raises its funds from thousands of individual Realtor volunteers, most of whom are small donors. They share concerns about excessive real estate conveyance taxes, the need for affordable housing, and a healthy free enterprise system. RPAC’s contributions to candidates are strictly regulated by the State Elections Enforcement Commission. Financial statements are filed regularly with the State of Connecticut.
