East Haven's holiday season will get its traditional official kick off next Saturday, Nov. 30 with the annual holiday tree lighting on the town green.
The festivities, always a fun time for the whole family, starting at 1 p.m. — with Santa arriving on the green at 2 p.m. The tree will then be lit at 4:45 p.m.
"We will have a bouncer and a train and cookies to decorate," East Haven Chamber of Commerce Chair Jenn Higham wrote in her post on the East Haven Patch community calendar.
This year's event, which is organized annually by the chamber, is sponsored by Citizens Bank.
