Veterans Day Events

The East Haven Veteran's Council in conjunction with Mayor April Capone Almon announced that Veterans Day in the Town of East Haven will be remembered with a reflective tone.

"Veterans Day is about remembering ALL who have served our country but we need to also remember that there are men and women currently serving that need our support." said Mayor Capone Almon.

The ceremonies and remembrances will be on Thursday November 11th and feature a procession from the American Legion Post 89 on Thompson Avenue to the East Haven Town Green. The procession is scheduled to step off at 10:45 AM. This will be followed by remarks by Mayor April Capone Almon and other dignitaries. At 11:00 the Color Guard and guests will present wreaths at the War Monuments and Honors will be rendered. The public is invited back to Post 89 for refreshments.
