Progress on the Fundraising Effort for the Foxon Park WWII Memorial

Fundraising Efforts for Foxon Park WWII Memorial

Louis Mingione’s efforts to raise funds to reestablish the WWII Foxon Park Memorial are showing success.  (June 23rd, 2011- East Haven Man to Reconstruct Foxon Park WWII Memorial.)

Mr. Mingione has raised $3000 and has put a deposit on the materials for the construction of the memorial. He has teamed up with Jack Casey of American Warrior – (an organization that sends WWII veterans free of charge to visit the National WWII Memorial in Washington D.C.)  Mr. Casey is working at the East Haven Town Hall to establish a list of veterans who resided within Foxon Park at the time of the War.  Mr. Mingione is still interested in obtaining any photographs residents may have of the original memorial. He can be contacted 203.469.1824.Checks for the memorial may be made out to Citizens Bank-Foxon Park Honor Roll and sent to Citizens Bank, 430 Foxon Road, East Haven, Conn., 06513
