Vacation Program: Special Visit from Ed Johnetta Miller, Author of "Short North" at the Connecticut Historical Society

Sharing stories from her grandfather, a Pullman porter, and her great-grandmother, a slave and quilt designer, author and quiltmaker Ed Johnetta Miller tells family stories that have inspired her own colorful and improvisational quilts. She'll share her creativity by guiding guests through a hands-on paper quilt craft that they can take home. Ms. Miller's stories touch every generation - this is the perfect way to spend a winter vacation afternoon with your family!

Ms. Miller's visit is made possible by the Connecticut at Work Initiative of Connecticut Humanities in partnership with the Hartford Public Library and the Greater Hartford Arts Council.
