Container Gardening: Containers That Won't Quit Presented by Master Gardener Amy Ziffer
There’s no mystery to creating container plantings that look great for months. By using the best plants for long-season performance, learning how to imagine the finished container at planting time, and following up with a little needed maintenance, you can have a beautiful container garden in nearly any spot right up until frost. Visit the library on Wednesday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m. and get all kinds of tips and information on container gardening from Master Gardener Amy Ziffer.
Amy Ziffer, owner of A Shady Lady Garden Design out of Sherman, CT, has been planting containers for her landscaping clients for more than 15 years. She’ll focus mostly on using long-flowering annuals and great foliage plants to create beautiful plant portraits. Using dozens of photos to illustrate her points, she’ll share everything she’s learned through years of experimentation to help you have better looking, longer lasting container gardens. She blogs about all aspects of gardening at her website, www.amyziffer.com.
