This Saturday: Maturo to Be Sworn In for Record 7th Term

East Haven Mayor Joseph Maturo, Jr. will be sworn into office this Saturday, Nov. 16, in an Inauguration Ceremony to be held on the East Haven Town Green.

The following is a press release from the East Haven Mayor's Office. 

East Haven Mayor Joseph Maturo, Jr. will be sworn into office for his seventh term as Mayor of East Haven on Saturday, November 16, 2013, in an Inauguration Ceremony to be held on the East Haven Town Green.  

Maturo who served 5 terms from 1997 to 2007, returned to office in 2011, which gave him the distinction of the longest serving Mayor in the town’s history.

Stacy Gravino-Piccirillo will begin her third term as the Town Clerk and the newly elected members of the Board of Education and Board of Finance will take the oath of office that day.

The public is encouraged to attend the ceremony beginning at 11:30 a.m. 

In case of rain, the ceremony will be held at the Senior Center located at 91 Taylor Ave, East Haven.

(Editor's Note: The press release originally incorrectly reported that Town Clerk Stacy Gravino-Piccirillo would be sworn in for a fourth term. It will, in fact, be her third term. The post has been updated to reflect the correct information.)
