You Know What We Need? More Snow!

The weekend forecast calls for up to 3 inches on Saturday for East Haven. Do you remember where you left the shovel?

Our friends at the National Weather Service are predicting that the latest storm moving toward New England could bring up to 3 inches of new snow to the area.

Which is a good thing, because we just finished clearing out from the last snowfall!

And, although the chances are low, forecasters are warning this weekend's system has the potential to dump more than just a few inches of new snow.

"If the track were to shift slightly closer to the coast, this storm could bring a much more significant snowfall to the region," NWS meteorologist stated in their hazardous weather outlook report.

  • Saturday: A chance of snow before noon, then a chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a high near 38. North wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
  • Saturday Night: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 20. North wind 8 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
  • Sunday: A chance of snow before noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 28. Blustery, with a northwest wind 16 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  • Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 14.
