Original Post

After a record breaking snowfall fell on East Haven, the town remains under a state of emergency until further notice from Mayor Joseph Maturo Jr due to the fact that many roads still are impassable.

Town offiicals said Saturday they would be asking the CT National Guard for its help in clearing and reopening roadways. And Mayor Maturo asked for the community's patience as the post-storm cleanup continues.

He noted that town crews have been working hard and round the clock since the storm began to clear and reopen local roadways. And they have been making slow, steady progress — although many streets remain unplowed.

So, has your road been plowed? Is it open to traffic again? Let us know in the comments below to create a running list of what streets are open or not, and share the information with your neighbors.
