New Town Beach Sticker: It's In the Mail

The start of the summer season along the shoreline officially kicked off last week with the long Memorial Day Weekend.

This means that the days are getting longer and warmer — and the thoughts of many residents have, most assuredly, turned to images of lazing away an afternoon at the .

And so, you may be wondering: How do I get a new sticker for the town beach?

In the Mail

The passes, which are stickers placed on a car's front windshield, provide residents free and preferential parking in the town lot directly across the street from beach.

And this year, the new stickers will be sent out with the town's July 2012 tax bills.

The told East Haven Patch those bills will be sent out at the end of this month.

Passes at Town Hall

But what if you live in town but don't own any taxable property?

Residents who do not receive a tax bill can pick up their new pass from the Tax Collector's Office in .

The Mayor's Office also has a limited number of passes available for residents.

Individuals, however, must show proof of residency — such as a driver's license, registration and/or utility bill — to pick up a pass in person.

Residents who would like to obtain an additional pass may also pick one up at town hall.
