On Tonight: The X Factor, Man Up! and The Rachel Zoe Project

What's on television? Patch gives you the highlights.

Tuesday, Oct. 18

The X Factor, 8 p.m., Fox
Of course baseball is wreaking havoc on this, what with last week’s rain delay, which pushed the second of the “judges’ homes” episodes to Sunday night. Haven’t had time to watch that, mainly because we are still punching the sofa cushions over the non-elimination of the last Empty-headed Team. I did love, though, how Simon was supposed to have Mariah Carey as his helper, but Tropical Storm Irene grounded her, and so instead he has the three studio gnomes who crawl out of the woodwork after each performance and give him their cryptic, whispered critiques in some sort of weird dialect that we cannot understand. More crying tonight.

Man Up!, 8:30 p.m., ABC
The network describes this as “three modern men trying to get in touch with their "inner tough guys," including one who prefers his coffee with nondairy hazelnut creamer.” Really? It follows Last Man Standing, which is about as lame as anything I have seen on TV since the ‘80s.

The Rachel Zoe Project, 9 p.m., Bravo
In which our heroine goes into labor, and births a perfectly accessorized baby.
