Latinos have filed complaints that they were , but a new statewide survey says isn’t the only place where they feel they’ve been discriminated against.
The Connecticut News Junkie website reported that a survey commissioned by the state Legislature’s Latino and Puerto Rican Affairs Commission indicated almost four out of ten Latinos said they felt discriminated against in the workplace.
One in three felt discriminated against when they were pulled over by police, and one in five felt discriminated against when they applied for a loan, the survey said.
The survey also showed that since 2007, when the last survey was conducted, unemployment for Latinos is up from 4.7 to 12 percent.
