LETTER: Media Needs to Treat East Haven, Mayor More 'Fairly'

"It's about time the media start treating our Mayor and the Town of East Haven fairly," East Haven Patch reader Marcia Federico writes in her letter to the editor.

To the Editor:

I recently heard about the Mayor's rescue of a man in harms way during Hurricane Sandy.

The Mayor was on the towns payloader surveying the flooding on Hemingway ave. when, near the intersection of Coe Ave and Silver Sands Rd, he observed a man who appeared to be in distress in the flooded road way with only his head above water.

The Mayor directed, Chris Plamer, the driver to drive toward the man and procecceded to get the man into the payloaders bucket and drive him to the Fire Department for medical attention.

I ask why the media did not report this selfless act.

I am quite certain the family of this man is very grateful.
