(Editor's Note: This letter was submitted on the morning of Sunday, Oct. 13, when there was the first frost of the fall season.)
To the Editor:
As I woke up this morning and saw frost on my windshield for the first time it is obvious summer has come to an end.
But yet when I took a walk down to the beach this morning it was hard to believe I saw the splash pad running, using thousands of gallons of water for what?
We are in a town when every penny counts but yet we see thousands being thrown out the door too often.
When will the proper management of these small issues come into play so we can actually see our town taxpayers' money being properly used and not flushed down the pipe as I saw this morning on a 40-degree morning.
This has come to an end — NOW.
