Judge Allows Police Officer to Return to East Haven

Officer Dennis Spaulding was ordered not to visit his hometown since his arrest in January charging him with harassing Latinos.

A federal magistrate judge has lifted the order prohibiting one of the officers accused of official misconduct against Latinos in from , allowing him to return to his home in town.

The New Haven Register reported that U.S. Magistrate Judge Holly Fitzsimmons allowed Officer Dennis Spaulding, one of four East Haven police officers arrested Jan. 24 and accused of harassing Hispanic residents and businesses, to rejoin his wife and child at their East Haven home following a favorable psychological report.

The Register said Spaulding has been living under the supervision of his father-in-law in New Haven since his arrest.
