GOTV: Guess Who's Calling For Albis?

Local Democrats got a little help from a friend -- U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal -- Monday afternoon making last-minute GOTV calls at their 272 Main St. headquarters for Tuesday’s special election. Democrat James Albis faces Republican Linda Monaco for the 99th General Assembly district seat vacated last month by longtime rep Mike Lawlor. According to Democratic Registrar of Voters Joe Buonome, the election cost taxpayers $32,000, the same as a regular election minus about six grand since the 3rd District sits out on this one.
