Easter Bunny to Visit Soon for Town Egg Hunt, Annual Breakfast

It will be a "hopping" good time in town this Easter, with a full slate of free activities sponsored by the East Haven Rotary Club prior to the town's annual outdoor Egg Hunt on March 30.

It's almost time for the Easter Bunny to make his annual trek through East Haven, filling the baskets of good boys and girls throughout town.

And the East Haven Rotary Club is ready to help the community celebrate with a full morning of activities just before the famous rabbit makes his much-anticipated visit this year.

Easter Bunny Breakfast

The Rotary will be hosting its 3rd Annual “Breakfast with The Easter Bunny” on Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., at the East Haven Senior Center.

The breakfast will include: pancakes and sausage along with juice and coffee. The event will be similar to the club’s popular “Breakfast with Santa," which is held each year during the Christmas season, event organizers said.

The Easter Bunny will be greeting every child and giving each a special Easter treat. Children 8 years of age and younger will be admitted free.

Admission for adults and children over 8 will be $ 5 per person, with all proceeds going to the East Haven Rotary Club High School Scholarship Fund.

Other Activities

This year Amber Alert Child Identification cards will be offered and parents/guardians will be able to purchase a professional photograph of their child with the Easter Bunny.

Other activities will include: Easter egg decorating, making bunny puppets and a fishing pond with prizes for $1 per try.

Easter Egg Hunt

Following the Rotary event, the East Haven Park and Recreation Department, under the direction of Lou Pane, will be holding its annual outdoor Easter Egg Hunt.

This will take place beginning at 11 a.m. at the tennis courts on Hudson Street, next to the “Patsy” DiLungo Ice Rink. The Easter Egg Hunt will be free of charge.

Is there no end to the mayoral candidates? This now makes six people interested in this prestigeous and highly sought after position.

It would be great if families could go to the breakfast and then walk over to Margaret Tucker Park for the Easter Egg Hunt. Because let's be honest, candy on tennis courts is not really a hunt.
Families would already be parked and wouldn't have to get back in their cars to head down for the easter egg hunt.

I'm disappointed with the new format. Doesn't seem to be very user friendly.

Gov. O'mally is ruining this State by driving more and more people into poverty, giving illegalsRead More drivers licenses, letting criminals out of jail early, pushing good companies out, and making it's citizens unsafe. Time to clean house starting locally!

WE THE PEOPLE have no say in how governments govern nor how OUR money is spent. WE supposedly electRead More people who take the trust of the people with them when elected and do the will of WE THE PEOPLE. This has never happened. Especially in state and federal office. Once in office the power they discover they now have pushes aside the will of the people. It an attitude of we have the power and you don't. Someday, but I doubt it, we can elect those who will not loose site of why they were elected.
