Easter Bunny Visits for Town Egg Hunt

It will be a "hopping" good time in town this holiday, with a full slate of activities sponsored by the East Haven Rotary Club prior to the town's annual outdoor Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.

It's almost time for the Easter Bunny to make his annual trek through East Haven, filling the baskets of good boys and girls throughout town.

And the is ready to help the community celebrate with a full morning of activities the day before the famous rabbit makes his much-anticipated visit this year.

Easter Bunny Breakfast

The Rotary will be hosting its 2nd Annual “Breakfast with The Easter Bunny” on Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., at the .

The breakfast will include: pancakes and sausage along with juice, and coffee. The event will be similar to the club’s popular “," which is held each year during the Christmas season, event organizers said.

The Easter Bunny will be greeting every child and giving each a special Easter treat. Children 8 years of age and younger will be admitted free.

Admission for adults and children over 8 will be $ 5 per person, with all proceeds going to the East Haven Rotary Club High School Scholarship Fund.

Other Activities

This year Amber Alert Child Identification cards will be offered and parents/guardians will be able to purchase a professional photograph of their child with the Easter Bunny.

Other activities will include: Easter egg decorating and a "Jelly Bean Estimation" contest with the winner receiving an Easter basket.

Easter Egg Hunt

Following the Rotary event, the East Haven Park and Recreation Department, under the direction of Lou Pane, will be holding its annual outdoor Easter Egg Hunt.

This will take place beginning at 11 a.m. at the tennis courts on Hudson Street, next to the . The Easter Egg Hunt will be free of charge.
