East Haven Police Warn Residents After Recent Rash of Car Burglaries

Several cars — most of them unlocked — have been broken into along Mansfield Grove Road, Gurney Street, Coolidge Street, Whalers Point and the surrounding area over the last few days.

East Haven Police are warning residents to lock their vehicles and report any suspicious activity after several cars were burglarized over the last few nights in town.

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, the cars were broken into along Mansfield Grove Road, Gurney Street, Coolidge Street, Whalers Point and the surrounding area.

The department noted most of the vehicles that were targeted were unlocked at the time.

Police are asking residents who live in the area who see or hear anything suspecious to call the department 203-468-3820.

Richard: That was all the info there was posted by the EHPD. But I'll follow up and see if there is a general time frame with the incidents.

I gave a description of the car that robbed me to the police it was around 8 and they new how to use lock out kit cause my car was locked

it was a mini van.. like a dark greenish color. it was hard to tell it was dark. i was looking out bedroom window. i saw it going slowly down street but its a dead end street so couldve been looking for an adress or the scrapper that comes by.. guess i was wrong.
