East Haven Police Warn Residents After Recent Rash of Car Burglaries

Several cars — most of them unlocked — have been broken into along Mansfield Grove Road, Gurney Street, Coolidge Street, Whalers Point and the surrounding area over the last few days.

East Haven Police are warning residents to lock their vehicles and report any suspicious activity after several cars were burglarized over the last few nights in town.

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, the cars were broken into along Mansfield Grove Road, Gurney Street, Coolidge Street, Whalers Point and the surrounding area.

The department noted most of the vehicles that were targeted were unlocked at the time.

Police are asking residents who live in the area who see or hear anything suspecious to call the department 203-468-3820.
