East Haven Landfill Closed This Friday and Saturday

Also the town's residential trash will not be picked up on Thanksgiving Day. Pick-ups for the remainder of the week will be delayed by one day due to the holiday.

The East Haven Landfill on Commerce Street will be closed both this Friday and this Saturday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Additionally, the town's residential trash will not be picked up on Thanksgiving Day, with the pick-ups for the remainder of the week delayed by one day.

Extra Saturdays In December

Although the facility’s winter schedule begins following the holiday, the East Haven Mayor's Office reports the landfill will be open for two Saturdays during the month of December.     

Between the months of December, January and February the landfill will be open for residents on the following Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.: 

  • Dec. 1
  • Dec. 15
  • Jan. 19
  • Feb. 16

Open on Fridays

The landfill will continue to be open for residents on every Friday, also from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
