Animal Shelter Supports Struggling Pet Owners

Animal shelter offers free pet food to those In need.

If you're a pet owner in East Haven and struggling to feed your animal, the East Haven Animal Shelter is here to help.

The shelter collects pet food and cat litter, which is given out to East Haven residents who are unable to provide for their pets.

"Because we're struggling to find good, responsible homes for our dogs and cats, we can give support to East Haven pet owners rather than having the owner give their pet to the shelter," says Assistant Animal Control Officer Kristina Ruszczyk.
